In 2013 she did a “women’s empowerment” set, no one was mad. 2016 she does “black empowerment” set and ppl lost their minds. Reminds me of when Papa Pope told Jefferson Davis to stand still and hope ppl don’t notice that “this ain’t no tan.” Ppl, especially many white ppl will be accepting of us as long as we aren’t too black.
