@hicarsondogss: Dior and Smokey are scheduled for euthanasia and we’re terrified they’ll either be separated or run out of time before we can get them out together. They were surrendered by their family when they moved. Dior (white dog) is 6 and Smokey is 3, and while we can’t confirm it, we have reason to believe Dior may actually be Smokey’s mom. These two are INSEPARABLE. We were laughing the entire time bc they genuinely could not walk without touching. Their heads were pressed together, one was licking the other’s face, or their bodies had to be touching somehow. Every single second😭 Dior is the social butterfly, outgoing, quirky and confident. Smokey is her shy little shadow. He constantly looks to Dior for guidance and checks to make sure she’s close. Without her, you can see him become unsure of himself. He’s such a sweet little baby who just wants to feel safe and Dior seems to be his safety🥺 I know adopting two dogs sounds intimidating, but as someone with two dogs myself, there’s something so comforting about knowing they have each other. And with these two, you’re not bringing home two strangers and hoping they get along…you’re bringing home two dogs who already chose each other. They’ve already lost their family and their home.
