@cassmillertime: Somebody can be GREAT at cleaning and still be completely wrong for your company. And I think this is something you understand more and more as your team grows. Cleaning can be taught. Technique can be improved. Production can be improved. Timing can be improved. Your processes can be taught. But somebody’s attitude? That’s a whole different story. One person who constantly complains, creates drama, talks negatively about the company or brings a bad attitude into work every single day can start affecting people who were perfectly happy before they got there. Negativity spreads. And sometimes we keep those employees way too long because we think, “Yeah…but they’re such a good cleaner.” I’ve learned that protecting the culture of your company is more important than keeping one technically great employee. Give me the person who wants to be there, wants to learn, treats people well and has a good attitude. I can teach them how we clean. I can’t teach somebody to care about the kind of teammate they are. As your company grows, you’re not just building a workforce. You’re building a culture. Protect it. #CleaningBusiness #CleaningBusinessOwner #cleaningcompany #cleaningemployees #leadership
