I’m 26 now but I remember when I was sent to the principals office when I was 16-17 years old, for choosing not to stand during the pledge, I felt that what Trump was doing back then was awful and I didn’t support it (and still don’t), my teacher was absolutely livid about it because her husband was a veteran and also taught there, my dad was an 11bravo for 6 1/2 years, he came to that school and supported my right to protest against whatever I needed to and that’s what parents should be doing as well, whether you like it or not, your teens should be aware of the political climate in America and they will have their own thoughts on the matter, they’re going to be affected by whatever policies are being past and they have a constitutional right to protest.
