This is the part that matters: 320B parameters 18B active 63.4% on Cline’s DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark And Cline says it became their fastest-growing model ever, already driving 11%+ of traffic in less than a week. The benchmark doesn’t mean it’s automatically better than every frontier model at everything. But if a free model is getting this close — or beating premium models on specific coding tests — why would the average builder automatically pay frontier-model prices? That’s the shift I keep watching with AI: Don’t use the model with the most prestige. Use the model that gives you the most value for the job. Cline itself is also free for individual developers, although model inference is normally usage-based, which makes a free model offer like this especially interesting.
