maybe they can show wellie’s death in shadows? kind of like clayton in tarzan. i just don’t want them to change it to soften it so much, that brutality changed things for haymitch

I think they should have ampert scream and then they just don’t show his body but do show the squirrels and for wellie it should be silka holding her axe with blood dripping and (I can’t remember her district rn) a piece of her clothes like her district colour part and the cannon goes off

What’s the point in these book adaptations if they’re not going to adapt the entire book? Apart from timing reasons. It is insanely infuriating. Make it a 15. Kids are being kílled, it was never MEANT to be a PG13

It's fine! it doesn't necessarily need gore to put the message across. with some clever cuts and shots they can imply the weapon decapitated her and then focus on Haymitch's reaction. I think that's probably how they'll do it. and like. as long as they capture the mood. they don't*need* the gore for shock value.

Ampert’s death is easy since Haymitch arrives when all there is left is a skeleton anyways, Wellie’s death could be changed but I don’t think it’ll be off screen
