When my son tries to bite me I ask if he wants a toy to bite, I give him a tether or if I have nothing I’ll give him a rag to chew on and he thinks it’s the best and gets the energy out

Biting I would say no and then tell them what they can do. Ex “you may give me a kiss” and then show them. if they seem like they are still having a hard time you say “If you choose to bite I’m going to keep you by my body”. They will cry because they will want to go play and then you can let them try again and set the expectation of if you choose to bite me again I will have you stay by me.
