just got fired from my management job. this is 100% true. I got in by pretending to like the other managers. once they were my peers, I suddenly stopped being as cordial and understanding. I started calling them out on their BS.

This is how it will always go im always the hardest worker and best at my job but that guy hired right after me is always related to someone and they will always get promoted over you. No company will ever look at you like a person your just a Number!!

i was told by the head of department im the better harder worker, but i don't wave my flag enough. where as the other co worker always spoke about everything. she advised me to wave my flag more to the deputy... i took my respect and left.

yep. They promote the people who are not qualified a lot of the time. They promote the people who are best at kissing butts. The whole networking thing. working hard does not get you anywhere anymore unless it's your own business that you are growing

absolutely true. I have a coworker who was just got hired after only 5 months she got promoted, then 8 months later she got promoted again😅. Apparently working hard isn't the only qualification, you just have become besties with management. Some people climbed a ladder of carrer through experience,hardwork and result but other take a VIP friendship elevator straight to the top😅😅😅
