I will reside in the *Gandaki River as the Saligrama stone*. Without your leaf, the pooja done to me will not be complete. And without my stone form, the pooja done to you will also not be complete." That is why, even today, Saligrama is worshipped only with Tulsi leaves. *3. How Did the Chakra Come Inside the Stone?* To kill Jalandhara, Vishnu released His Sudarshana Chakra. That Chakra fell into the Gandaki River. Wherever it fell, its impression was imprinted on all the stones there. That is why inside that stone we can see symbols like Shankha and Chakra. *In short,* because of a curse, God Himself turned into a stone. So it is not just a stone, our ancestors worship it believing that *it is Lord Vishnu Himself.*
