Act like the person you wanna become. Save this and send this to someone. Mel Robbins spent years broke, stuck, and struggling with self-doubt before becoming one of the most listened-to voices in personal development, reaching millions through her books and podcast. She wasn't born confident. She built it — and she's blunt about how. Because the advice she gives cuts against a phrase everyone repeats wrong. Act like the person you want to become. And no - that's not fake it till you make it. Here's the difference, because it matters. Faking it means pretending to feel a confidence you don't have, and that pretense always cracks under pressure. What she's actually saying is about your actions, not your feelings. Ask what the person you want to become would do today, and then do that — even while the confidence hasn't shown up yet. Because identity works backwards from how most people think. You don't wait to feel like a disciplined person and then start acting like one. You take the actions first, and the identity forms around them over time. The behavior comes first. The feeling follows. You don't become the person and then act like them. You act like them, and that's exactly how you become them. Tag someone who's waiting to feel ready before they start.
