Feels a little biased, and full disclosure: Coy is the Broski. Based on the filming timeline and postproduction timeframe, they appear to be identical. MOT started filming in April 2026 with a July 2027 release, giving them 10 months of postproduction, altogether 15 months. Secret Wars has 16 months to put something together. Assuming it takes 4 months to shoot. I’m thinking like F4 most of the VFX shots were completed before the actors came on set. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Excited for MOT. Worth noting that supergirl also wrapped over a year out from release and spider-man brand new day began filming AFTER supergirl wrapped and we see how those turned out this summer. More excited for MOT than secret wars tho. Excited to finally see a Green Lantern in theaters again.

You can really tell the difference in the way these MCU film’s effects look. All the final battles are in these not-so-great looking ruins with not much creativity

This is going to sound crazy at first but take a second and consider. Do you think movies may at some point get to the same place that video games have gotten to where they ship incomplete, buggy, alpha/beta versions and then only invest in refining and iterating on the ones that hit? In the movie world, this would be like releasing a movie in a limited way first and seeing how the public is reacting and then going back and investing more in visual effects and on the polish.
