Trellis for the cukes is just too big. The tendrils just can’t attach to the big pieces of wood.

Put some chicken wire on those trellises next year and the cucumber vines will be able to grab on a lot easier.

Cucumbers really have to be encouraged to grow up. As soon as they get any length they want to grow back down. They probably need a wider trellis with more rungs to grab onto than those. Some of your squash may do OK on those trellises, but cucumber, probably won't make it
