Parrying other melees would be a pretty interesting gimmick. Like, now that leatherneck’s melee resistance is gone this COULD be a really cool replacement for it that has way more depth and skill to it. Vanknights would have at least some sort of defense against lancers, and you could use it to stop lancers ambushing you, or a group of people, or one of your shocks. It would still be underpowered, but lancer is getting super buffed anyway and it just serves to make the game more interesting. Just adding it between cav swords seems like a cop out so red can technically say she buffed it.
