teach him to sit first , then put the treat in front of his nose and move it down usually their head will follow the treat down then they will lay down!

A tire puppy is a receptive puppy!! He seemed like he was in the mood to play at the beginning, tire him out and then do the commands and training before nap time!

My girl and I are struggling with this rn as well! I learned that the best time to do the training is post play before their meals. And their attention spans are literally 5-10 mins 😅

Be realistic about attention span at 8 weeks that is still very very young to start training. Some commands will be easier than others. Keep it positive and short sessions.

Hahahahaha. 😍😂 If you’re trying to train and he can’t pay attention try putting a leash on him while you’re doing it. Helps him get used to the feeling of the leash too at the same time

hi! i have a 12 week old golden currently & my trainer told us that puppies between the ages of 8 weeks-about 12 weeks are basically non-verbal, try using the treat to guide him into a sit! for the down command, i think you did perfect but try slowing down the hand movement so he can process it easier!! hope this helps girl🫶🏼
