@callcooley: 72, 75, 84 months sounds scary until you understand what the term is actually doing. Longer term = lower required payment. But if you only make the minimum the whole time, you’ll usually pay more interest. If your priority right now is keeping the payment manageable, understand the tradeoff before automatically saying no. DM me PAYMENT if you’re trying to figure out what term and payment make sense for you. #CarPayments #AutoFinancing #CarTok #CarBuyingTips #LaGrangeGA
If you need to finance more than 5 years, you can’t afford it.

I've been considering an 84 month for the simple fact my next truck has to be a 10-15 year truck for it to make sense anyways. I'll be towing and living more nomad than not with it, so it's not something I'm gonna flip. hell if I didn't need that ability to tow about 4-5k I'd be keeping my jeep. so if 84 makes it a fraction of what I'm paying now and I don't need to sell it for 12-15 years? why not

Nope it’s being so upside down when you want to trade it in. So many repos incoming because dealers are screwing these people that can’t afford them comfortably.

Speaking like a true salesman 60 months should be maximum. My personal rule is if I can’t comfortably afford 48 months financing i cant afford the car

Thanks for always sharing information for everyone. Not everyone has the finances and end up with the longer loan but it worked when they needed it to. I appreciate a salesperson that tells all the truths!

Normal folks should never finance a vehicle for more than 36 or 48 months due to depreciation. I personally refuse to buy a vehicle on credit.

We did 84 in case something happens we have a lower payment, but will be paying twice the payment to pay it off faster.

It means when you trade it in after 3,4,5 years you’ll have to pay a large amount of money or roll that amount into the next loan when you sign on the dotted line.
