My experience with oversharing is that a lot of people end up using it against you and start seeing you as a problematic or weaker person

I got put back in my box this week. As a teacher, I’m aware of the messages we give. Most ks2 classrooms have books by David Walliams in their classroom or on display. This is worrisome to me as the author has been dropped by his agent and publisher due to his sexually predatory behaviour. I don’t think his books should be in school. I simply got told that should we not play Michael Jackson music or have J.K Rowling books in their classroom school? My response is yes to Jackson’s I do think he used his fame to act as a predator but no to Rowling as they haven’t committed a crime or been accused of one. Her views may not alone with yours but are not criminal. I simply got told this would be discussed by people more senior than me. I just took the books out of my room.
