@kathygirl3344: Are pendulums and Ouija boards the same kind of spiritual tool? I don’t believe they are—and intention makes an important difference. I use a pendulum as a personal tool for connecting with my intuition and gaining clarity. Before using one, I recommend becoming calm and grounded, cleansing the pendulum, setting a positive intention, and asking that any guidance received be aligned with your highest good. You can cleanse it with sound, smoke, moonlight, or simply your focused intention. Establish its movements for “yes,” “no,” and “unclear,” and avoid using it when you feel anxious, angry, fearful, or determined to receive one particular answer. A Ouija board is traditionally used to seek outside communication, often with several people participating. That is very different from how I personally work with a pendulum, and I choose to be cautious about what energies I invite into my space. A pendulum also does not manifest something for you. It can help you reflect on your energy, clarify your intentions, and consider whether your choices are aligned with what you hope to create.
