Yes that can happen. Onga/Maggi seasoning contains a significant amount of salt and other dissolved ingredients. When you soaked it in water and poured the concentrated mixture on grass, the salt increased the concentration of salts around the roots. That can cause osmotic stress, making it difficult for the grass to take up water, and can damage the roots and leaves. A strong enough solution can kill the grass. It doesn’t mean Maggi is poisonous to humans when used normally in food. The concentration you put on the grass is very different from the small amount normally eaten.
