@ufdtech: If this freaky baby looks familiar, you might be entitled to compensation When Windows 95 launched 3 decades ago, a seemingly naked baby forced Microsoft to alter production of their physical disc boxes - and everything that came out before that is now super collectable This little holographic image on the back of the CD-ROM box was essentially the certificate of authenticity for the then-cutting-edge-operating-system - and while it DID work, the shirtless baby pointing at a CRT display caused enough of a stir within at least one of the world’s governments for Microsoft to change it The argument was that the baby is completely naked - which, while it can’t be proven since the image is cut off - but it was a complaint important enough for the company to begin mass producing an entirely new lenticular hologram that included a baby that is DEFINITELY fully clothed - and all of those boxes - the ones that still exist today, at least - are significantly less rare than the quote unquote “naked baby” ones
