@affordable.horse4: ‼️REDUCED TO 💲8️⃣,8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣‼️ 🔥𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐄 ~ 𝑂𝑁 𝐴 𝐵𝑈𝐷𝐺𝐸𝑇🔥 “Z” 16 y/o AQHA Bay Gelding (papers lost) 16.1hh Z is a high-strung and energetic type horse but is also the sweetest and most loving gelding. On the ground he is super calm but once you’re in the saddle he is the all-business type. Z is very broke with all the basic buttons and is trained on barrels and also enjoys bringing in cattle. Depending on the type of jockey he has, he can run anywhere from the 1D–3D with very limited hauling. (25 runs under him) He could no doubt be a solid 1D horse with someone who is a 1D rider. No alley or gate issues. The owner has owned him for 8 years and due to many life circumstances she has had over the years, he’s been on the back burner a lot at no fault of his own! Z needs someone who knows how to ride him to his spots and stay ahead of him because once he feels you ask him to rate, he will rate hard and is ready to turn. He doesn’t require a lot of asking. A confident rider with good timing, quiet hands, and who is comfortable and confident handling a hotter, more sensitive horse will get along with him best. He is extremely responsive to his rider, so whatever you ask of him, he responds quickly and with a lot of effort whether that’s stopping, backing, moving forward, or turning. With that said, he hasn’t ever offered to buck or rear. Z is overall good for the vet/farrier, stands tied, loads/unloads from the trailer, bathes well, stalls, gets along well with other horses, isn’t buddy sour, is very easy to catch, and can be rode bareback. He has no bad habits. No cribbing, pawing, or weaving. His previous owner had him on the track match racing. The previous owner fell behind on boarding and training payments, so the horse was given up as collateral to pay off the debt. The trainer and the owners stepdad were acquaintances, and he offered Z to them to use for barrel racing. (8 years ago) with that said his papers were lost. Z has no known past injuries (other than a rope burn a few years back) and no known current health issues. With that said, he does have mild high pastern ringbone localized to the inside of his right hind pastern. According to his vet, it has not been an issue or affected his ability to perform. He has received a lameness evaluation each time he raced and has always checked out sound. Only maintenance is stifles injections occasionally if competing and shoes. Due to being running bred he can be a harder keeper so needs to be kept on a good performance horse feeding program. His limited hauling and competition history in the last 8 years has only been due to life circumstances of the owner. No fault of his own which is the only reason for rehoming. He has so much potential and deserves to be used!
