I once ordered a diet dr pepper from a small mom & pop place near my work. They gave me regular and I didn't realize until I skyrocketed. Figured it was a mistake. Went back a few days later and when I pointed out what happened so they could double check, they said they've been out of diet for a few weeks so they just give regular without saying anything. I did flip out a bit honestly. I should get these strips.

I totally get mistakes happen, but restaurant workers or people who serve drinks really need to understand the importance of giving diet if that’s what is requested.

You shouldn’t feel awkward for expecting what you asked and paid for. If they don’t want to go to the effort of dispensing a diet drink don’t have them on the menu. I don’t care if it’s a kid or adult that’s false advertising.
