The fact you have the strength to not only talk about it but come on here as a creator shows the healing and strength you have gone though. Most could not have walked your journey. For what it’s worth I’m proud of you.

Just being able to talk about this and process it is huge. Especially sharing it. You have become the person you needed. I’m gonna be strong like this

and then they wonder why we don't talk to them...I still dissociate, issolate, and hide from people. people who don't deserve that, but self preservation is all I know at this point. I wanted love, I wanted to just even feel heard, and it felt like my dad wanted to completely ignore everything that happened and just disappear...I think he broke. he's never been the same

I’m sorry to hear that cause no one should ever treat someone like that and punch you in the stomach when you were with child that’s crazy and I’m sorry that you were through that alone cause you shouldn’t have gone through any of that. May God Bless your soul ✝️

That ain't discipline, that's abuse, and the whole situation is heartbreaking. I'm hoping you're thriving these days, and so glad to hear that you've been able to dictate your contact level. An adult that has to use their hands where their words aren't working is a failed human. It sounds like you're the parent you needed. And modeling the way to be. A child that learns to accept fault and attempt to rectify is being set up for success.
