Salir como capitán, representar a tu equipo y a tu escuela, y negarte a dar la mano al rival en el saludo es una falta de respeto y de los fundamentos más básicos de este deporte. La rivalidad se demuestra en el campo, con disciplina, carácter y juego limpio, no haciendo poses de mamarracho para aparentar dureza. Si no entienden ni el respeto que representa ser capitán, quizá también habría que preguntarse qué están aprendiendo de su escuela. Y sí: una conducta así debería tener consecuencias, incluso ser motivo para desequipar al jugador. Puedes querer ganarle al rival con toda el alma y, al mismo tiempo, tener la educación y los valores para darle la mano. Eso también es fútbol americano. 🏈
