When I was a baby up until I was long enough to stay home alone. I was in a home daycare that had multiple pets. A dog at least five cats, a giant fish tank, a bunny, rabbit and at one point bird. I would be dropped off at like 5 o’clock in the morning and there was always at least two cats that would sleep with me.

i have a 2 year old Springer who thinks she's one of the day care kids. she lines up for outside time, snack time and even sits for circle time. the parents get a kick out of it 😂

My elementary school had a neighbor who had a golden retriever, Buddy, who would come running over every time the kids came out for recess to play with us. Then, when recess ended, he would go home and nap on the porch until the next recess.

I would never enroll my child in a daycare where I didn’t trust the judgement of the provider. When I had my own in-home I had one dog that was out all day and two that went to their kennels, but came out for nap time and than back to their kennels after kids were back up and moving. If you have a provider with good judgment, you have nothing to worry about. Luckily, the dog at my son’s current daycare is literally the best, but than again, that’s how her owner raised her 🥰

My son has 3 teachers that bring their dogs to school everyday. All of the kids look forward to seeing the dogs! And the dogs are always sooo happy to see the kids!

We have 4 springers, a toy Aussie and a Chinese crested. While the springers only come out to go potty when the kids are here but the Chinese crested and Aussie are always out with the kids. They love to snuggle them at nap time. The kids would love it if I would let the springers stay out with them! All the parents knew about them before they started and are just fine with them. Heck, we even had a house bottle goat at one time!

My 15 year old morkie was raised in my daycare, he was so patient and tolerant. Sadly he passed in April, he was such a part of our routine that I notice his absence often. I even wrote everything for him off as a business expense. His bed was in the calm down corner. They loved petting him to calm down. The kids had a chore of letting him in and out when he needed to. In summer when I close I swear he’d go into a depression missing the kids.

My daycare lady has 4 dogs. I've walked in and they are passed out sleeping on the couch with the kids. They are the gentlest dogs and yes she's licensed and no she's very much nonsense woman who has trained dogs and if she says no or stop they listen.
