In the Peds Department, there are two male providers. One had a picture on the hallway wall and a kid stopped and asked who it was, I told them it was one of the doctor’s. She said in wonder “I didn’t know men could be doctor’s. Good for him!” Her provider was female, so she’d never seen a male provider before.

I hated men for my entire childhood because I grew up in a HUGE family with a grand total of TWO men in it, and they were my cousins. I also happened to have a woman doctor and woman teachers the whole time, I was SHOCKED when I found out men could be doctors and teachers too😭😭

Female doctor with a lot of female doctor friends. We have each at one point had to have the conversation with out kids that, yes, they do let men be doctors 😂

My mom plays ice hockey in a local league and growing up the first time I saw a male hockey goalie I asked her why that guy was dressed like a girl. She told me that boys play hockey too and I was so happy the sport was so inclusive for boys 💖

I worked in a children’s clinic n one of the kids told a male staff that he wasn’t allowed to wear scrubs because janitors don’t wear scrubs😭😭😭 cuz all the men his family are like military or like in some sort of skilled trade so he believed only women could do smart jobs 😭😭 Mind you he was the directors son and she never corrected him 😭😭😭😂

My youngest daughter genuinely did not think men could be doctors until she was like 7, because the only doctors she ever knew were her pediatrician (who is a woman) and Doc McStuffins.
