I finally realized that there is no “person” in there. Only a base animal that acts on instinct. With no forethought to the consequences of their actions to others or even themselves. There’s only what makes them feel good or what’s making them feel bad in the moment and they act on that immediate feeling. There is no person in there that reflects. They stopped developing at the toddler level. You cannot reason with that person because there is no person in there.

i tried to be honest and force my mom to take accountability. she crossed more boundaries and harrassed me for weeks. then one day after that when i tolerated her, she calmed down and went back to ignoring me and focusing on herself. she never took accountability, apologized, respected my boundaries or changed at all. just grey rock or ghost.
