I knew every one of your movies, every scene, and I looked up to you more than you could ever imagine. When you were filming Around the World in 80 Days in Berlin, I even skipped school just for the chance to see you in person. After one day of filming, two black SUVs drove off, apparently to distract the crowd. Almost everyone ran after the wrong car. Somehow, I was the only one who followed the right one. I ran as fast as I could and finally caught up with your car at a red light. I still remember standing there beside the car. You were inside with your security and your sister. I asked you for an autograph, but unfortunately, you declined. At exactly that moment, my camera also stopped working, so I couldn’t even take a photo. For you, I was probably just one fan among millions. But for me, as a young boy who had admired you for years, my little world collapsed that day. I went home deeply disappointed and even took down all the Jackie Chan posters from the walls of my room. It is a memory I have carried with me ever since. Still, all these years later, I remember how much joy your movies brought into my childhood. So despite that disappointing moment, I sincerely wish you many more healthy and happy years on what has already been an incredible and very long journey. You were a huge part of my childhood, and that is something one disappointing moment can never completely erase. Take care, Jackie.
