@dun_it_again: I almost died in a hospital—and I learned firsthand that advocating for yourself can be the difference between being dismissed and being heard. Join us at The Whole Woman to hear Dr. Nieasha Richardson, a board-certified family nurse practitioner and wellness strategist, share the importance of self-advocacy, whole-person wellness, and health equity—especially for women of color. 🎟️ Get your tickets today at SoulRebirth.org. #TheWholeWoman #HealthEquity #WomensWellness #RebirthWithChinna
I just ended care with a mn Asian Dr. because he thought he could scold me my entire visit for missing past visits due to life events. He threatened to dismiss me from his practice, whole time I was at this appointment for the scheduled procedure that HIS staff called and canceled. He NEVER addressed the issue for why I was in his office. I left his office in tears, reported him, left a scathing review on healthgrades.com, and started looking for care elsewhere.

They don't like it when you know what's best for you and tell them.

Wish they could put their egos aside just to listen, its cause they get offended (why? when its not their body?!).
