Folks pushing off Canada is probably the dumbest of ideas we have. Not only does Canada fully control the Welland Canal but Canada also can pull the operational plug to access the St Lawrence Seaway and completely block off access to the Upper St Lawrence Peninsula which allows ships to enter the St Lawrence River.
