I’ve been dealing with a lot, but instead of: A) Pushing myself to post a ton of content I don’t have the energy to edit + making myself feel sicker/even more tired I am instead: B) Letting y’all know things will be a little slower the next few weeks. Because sometimes, you can’t do it all. And trying to do it all just makes you feel so much worse. I know many of you won’t actually notice if we’re not posting. But you know who WILL notice? The brands I depend on to partner with so I can pay my mortgage. (Hey brands! Don’t judge me by this lull. I am a literal badass by choosing to put myself and my health ahead of content & pleasing the algorithm!) So, we’re pressing pause for a little bit. #FifisChipmunkCafe will be back, & I’ll post short videos periodically, but the Reels that take up to 8 hours to edit will be coming after we’re home in NC❤️ Ngl it hasn’t helped that this new-ish chronic illness has decided that NOW is a great time to kick me out of the drivers seat and stomp on the gas while driving backwards down the highway. That’s how it feels, at least. I’ve also been dealing with a lot of very tough personal stuff behind the scenes that has just totally wrecked my nervous system. Some very, very awful and extremely emotional family stuff. So between that and all the work I have to get done, I don’t feel my best. If you have a chronic illness, you know that pacing your energy is so important. I’ve been using my @visible.health band to help me budget my energy, and even though I typically overshoot my “pace points” every day it’s helping me see how the things I do impact my symptoms. I’ve also adopted the cat motto “If I fits, I sits,” meaning: I try to sit down as much as I can, anywhere, rather than trying to “tough it out.” I also just finished listening to the book “Unlearn Your Pain” by @hschubiner which, I think, will be the thing that helps me dig myself out of this hole of exhaustion. Please send good vibes ♥️ I’ll be back to my regular whimsical self very soon! #spoonielife #nervoussystemsupport #petcontentcreator #creatorburnout
