I grew up in NJ and live in California both states are very similar. Anywhere along the ocean is going to cost you minimum $2-3M and any nice safe town you want to raise a family in are expensive af, but there are towns between them that are ok and not expensive. I have issue with people claiming the expensive aspect as a flex, there is nothing cool about paying $3500 a month for a studio apartment ever lol. Especially when AI will replace a lot of jobs in the next decade

I miss living in CA. I have traveled all over the world, but CA has my heart and I still think Laguna Beach is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. My soul is at peace in SoCal.
