There were a few actors that were there many years who have left. They’ve all said it was for personal reasons, moving on to other things, etc. But I’ve always got the feeling that there was more to the story — tiny hints that management was treating them poorly. The actors are, without a doubt, not paid well enough (one of the lead actors shared how much they get paid weekly). Also, the PARF was purchased by private equity firm earlier this year, and I never take that as a good sign.

imagine high school drama, but add in everyone is old enough to drink, some are in to kink, many are poly, and then add the fact that you have to be "friendly" and "in character" in front of patrons while its 95° F or humid to the point of heat exhaustion while wearing badically a couch. (I stage manage a show and end up hearing a lot of the drama)

Ive been trying to find out (auditioned for multiple) but from what I know a lot of them live/camp on site during much of faire season, so mix that with theatere kid which I DO know about and I’m betting it’s either a great fun time or max drama (most likely both and it swings back and forth)

Dated a guy who was a knight at the renn faire. The stories of the drama was super juicy. But a lot of people who are chill with each other and laugh a lot at work.
