Spaniards are not Latino. If you’re 97% Spanish , you are white. Spanish people are Hispanic but not Latino. Hope this clarifies.

Let’s cut to the chase. To suppose identity is strictly about DNA percentages is completely missing the point. Scientifically, 97% European heritage means what it means, but ethically and socially, a light-skinned person is still Latino. Why? Because they share our indigenous roots, our culture, our language, and the exact same lived experiences as darker-skinned or Afro-Latinos. If someone has walked the same path, suffered the same racism, and gotten zero white privilege in society, they are Latino. Period. Latino isn't a single skin color or race—it’s an ethnicity that packs together Afro-Latinos, brown Latinos, white Latinos, and Asian-Latinos. Reducing us to just brown skin isn't just an inaccurate stereotype; it’s pure prejudice. It honestly pisses me off how people—and systems—always try to find stupid ways to divide us and blind us to our own unity. We have always stood together regardless of shade. Hating or excluding someone over genetics they can't control, while ignoring their culture and reality, is just ignorant.
