Higuruma Yuji Fight Part 4: Cherishing the Weak. Higuruma dedicated his life to helping the weak.A thankless endeavor, the system was rigged against his people, and even after pouring his all into defending them, all he got was contempt and accusatory glares. Humans are ugly and weak. That is a natural conclusion for Him to reach. He has seen it day in and day out, no matter how much goodwill he has, that doesn't change the fact that the people he wants to protect and the people he's protecting them from are ugly, they hold grudges, they lie, they cheat, they blame others and shirk responsibility. But what Higuruma lost sight of, was that he used to cherish that very weakness and ugliness. That is what makes us human, and what makes us worth cherishing. When faced with someone that represents the antithesis to his apathy, He was forced to look back to his roots. Here, Itadori is shown to do the opposite of what Higuruma has come to expect out of humans: he shoulders blame and responsibility, even though he is innocent. He still holds himself accountable for actions done with his own body, even without his will. This is complete opposite of what Higuruma has come to think of people, and that is represented in his technique: Deadly Sentencing and Judgeman. Higuruma himself says that if everyone told the truth, there would be no need for courts. He has accepted that lies and deception are an integral part of human morality, so for someone to wholeheartedly admit to a sin they did not commit completely shatters that worldview, that's why Judgeman open its sown-shut eyes in anger, that is why Higuruma lashes out. After letting human ugliness and darkness drown him, Yuji's innocence and sense of responsibility shone a blinding light at him. So he closed his eyes.Thematically this represents Yuji's light Blinding him, but it also mirrors his backstory where he says

Ironically, he thought that Lady Justice's blind justice was unfair, but it turned out that turning the blind eye to someone was what brought him back to his senses. #anime #jujutsukaisen #manga #animeedits #mangaedit #jjkseason3 #yujiitadori #higurumahiromi #jujutsukaisenanime
