A mother once told me to talk to her daughter, for she no longer knows what to do. I was 22. No more than 6 months in the profession. That made me realize that in 4 years of trying to understand the complexity of being a teacher, no one would ever told you what’s beyond. The companionship you must offer not only to your students, but to their parents, who are also trying their best.

especially in elem/primary years, it’s like ur raising ur child but also coming home to be just a child too 😭 the more i spent with parents & students, the more i realize that we are all just navigating life for the 1st time. Some being 1st time parents, some being 1st time teachers, and kids being 1st time to see the world 😭 to all teachers out there, I hope u wont be too hard on yourself…esp if youre still unsure of what you are doing🥹Aren’t we all? 😭

Becoming a teacher has honestly been the best thing for the development of my brain. Learning about SEND and what a child needs has really helped me understand my inner child and how to heal my own brain

Glad to have my first babies from private school. I am a secondary teacher but started sa elem and my students made me love the profession from the start. Ngayon na high school na hawak ko, para naggrow na rin ang mga babies ko sa pagiging teenager as well as I am. Ngayon single pa rin ako at walang anak pero natatawa na lang ako minsan pag pinapagalitan ko sila. Para akong nanay na may love-hate relationship sa teen na anak. Hahahah

Me start teaching in a private school when I was 22 years old. and now I'm 25, with stable job in Deped. We have our own timeline, it just that us being a mother been more early than our own child. 😁 Maybe it's a test for us to learn how to handle our future child, learn from experience. It is just that ironic that we're giving some advice to those who have raised a child. But that's not a problem, we've been there too, we're once a child and we know what's right or wrong. We still not be in a position of a mother, but we've been in a position of the child. And while growing up, the good character we once learned from it is the lesson we will discuss to the future.
