@chineseembassyinnepal: Ambassador Zhang Maoming attends handover ceremony for China-aid emergency relief supplies to Nepal At around 7 o'clock local time on August 30, 2026, two Y-20 large transport aircraft of the PLA Air Force of China carrying China-aid emergency relief supplies arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. Four Chinese tunnel rescue experts, along with rescue equipment, arrived on board. H. E. Mr. Zhang Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Honourable Mr. Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation of Nepal, Honourable Mr. Dharma KC, member of House of Representatives of Federal Parliament of Nepal, attended the handover ceremony for the relief supplies, and welcomed the Chinese rescue experts. The two transport aircraft took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and arrived in Kathmandu after a flight of about three hours. They carried 13,200 items of emergency relief supplies, including tents, blankets, sleeping bags, hard tack and first-aid kits, with a total weight of 50 tonnes.
