As a double below the knees amputee with spina bifida and multiple other health issues ive had countless surgeries all over my body since the day I was born and lost more and more of each leg throughout my life. Ive felt as if I had no choice in things with my body as many of these surgeries it was “get it or you risk passing” Ive looked death in the face and didn’t flinch losing more of my legs didn’t flinch now losing my knees are a HUGE no no! Thats how I get around and always have. I also wanted a funny little reminder that in life you don’t always have to be so serious and wanted something to giggle about. With these tattoos I got a symbol of freedom as this is the only permanent mark on my body besides SH scars that I made a choice about and a reason to giggle and smile every day because frankly it’s funny. 😄 @Sean “InkDoctor” Holmes is freaking bad ass and his work is AMAZING his shop is phenomenal and very laid back and clean and everyone there is so nice and funny and welcome you with open arms! They gave me a permanent reason to laugh and smile every time I look at it! And everyone who has seen it thinks it’s freaking awesome so it makes other people’s days better too!
