The event coordinator was woefully underprepared. The weather was stunning and it was a fun couple of hours out but there was probably 500 more people then they anticipated. Most of the food vans ran out of food at 2pm if not 1pm.

I went and was not expecting how packed it was gonna be!!! it was also not in a great location to fit all those people imo and i also thought there would be more stalls. but perhaps they will get better in future years

I honestly can't believe the organisers didn't expect those numbers. It's a new to Canberra market from Sydney, of course Canberrans were going to flock to it, lol. Anyway, it was a cute event, but some of the lines were way too long and disorganised to bother with, especially inside. I ordered from the same place you did and the food was nice. I also got some cheeses from the cheese stall that was outside, although I haven't tried them yet. I'd love to see the markets return but with the stalls more spread out.

I got there at 1pm and by 1:30pm racklette was sold out . The crepes were very yummy but yer, some common sense of “it’s the first true warm weekend post winter it’s going to be PACKED!” The forage markets a few weeks ago were also as busy and the lines were only 10 mins long

Look out for the fete at Telopea school, it’s like a mini version of this but not so hectic.
