Experience bartender here I worked in dive bars all the way up to high-end restaurants and was even a bar manager and I will hire a experience bartender over any bartending school graduate because most time I’m sorry those graduates they don’t know shit

Everything he said is true. Bartending jobs can be incredibly sought after so you can have all of those things and still look for a long time. Take whatever chance you can to get on bar bottom wrong Saturday morning doesn’t matter what matters is getting on the ladder.

I found boarding school helpful, but you have to presented the right way. I said I wanted some hands-on time where I could ask all of the dumb questions before I showed up looking for a job. I also worked a busy coffee shop when I was under age because I knew I eventually wanted to be a bartender and I think that background was helpful.
