The cool temperature of the pot and water helps clean the area, keep it moist, and reduce swelling (vasoconstriction) in the exposed tissue so it can be safely manipulated and returned inside.The Fluid: The greenish or yellowish fluid visible is typically a mix of cool water, natural mucous, or traditional soothing washes applied during the procedure.
