For snacks, she usually has 2 a day, one in the first part of the day and another one in the afternoon. They’re usually seasonal fruit, or sometimes homemade snacks that I make for her. Also, just a little note about meals: if she refuses a food that I know she usually likes and eats often, I don’t immediately offer something else. I usually re-offer the same meal after about 1.5–2 hours, and most of the time she ends up eating it. Sometimes toddlers are not refusing because they don’t like the food, maybe they’re just not hungry in that moment. Of course, if it’s a new food or I can tell she really doesn’t like it, I respect that and offer something else. But with familiar meals that are part of our family routine, I like to give her another chance later. How do you handle it when your toddler refuses a meal?
