to many homes around the lake and to much tourism dumps raw sewage right into the lake. the town of Lake George dumped millions of gallons a few years ago, Bolton can't keep up and does it now. too many people is the problem.😡😡

Lake George is still a wonderful place to be year round. And stop by any day of the week from April to October. Lake George and the surrounding area are thriving.

Tourist trap now. Crappy malls with cheap expensive name brands on the way there. Better off going to one of the many other lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, nature trails anywhere else upstate.

Nonsense. There are no abandoned mansions. Houses anywhere on the water are over $1M!! Yes, stores come and go like in any other resort driven town. Water is crystal clear bc Adirondack park commission are extremely strict in regards to the water quality.
