@sacramentourbanmedia916: An Alabama man has been sentenced to life in federal prison for the brutal killing of his ex-girlfriend after she tried to end their relationship. Prosecutors say 31-year-old Charles Carson-Dowdy traveled by Uber from Mobile, Alabama, to Pensacola, Florida, in January 2025 to confront Starmichael L. Tucker. Their relationship had deteriorated after Carson-Dowdy admitted he had secretly gone through Tucker’s private text messages, prompting her to try to break things off. Authorities say Carson-Dowdy entered Tucker’s home without permission and waited for her to return. The following evening, he followed her outside and opened fire, shooting her repeatedly before taking her vehicle and intentionally driving over her body three times. Carson-Dowdy later texted one of Tucker’s relatives, “Star is dead,” and admitted to another person that he had shot her 16 times, according to prosecutors. Police eventually located him in Alabama inside Tucker’s vehicle, where investigators also recovered the handgun used in the killing. Carson-Dowdy pleaded guilty to multiple federal charges, including cyberstalking, interstate domestic violence and murder through the use of a firearm. He will spend the rest of his life in federal prison.#fyp #viral
