It sort of sounds like your extra embryo might have fertilised “atypically” Day 1 you want to see 2 pronuclei (they are the genetics - 1 from egg 1 from sperm) but if they only see 1 or even see 3 - they do a slightly different test to see if they inherited the correct number of genetics even though they showed it oddly on day 1. It’s only very new to use these embryos due to evolving research but definitely worth considering if you have a lower number of useable blastocyst.
