This! Or the extremely common: you use the whole appointment to properly assess, manage, educate, etc on the issue the patient booked for. And it’s “oh doctor there’s this other thing”. Then patients complain doctors don’t listen or brush them off. And others complain the doctor is always running late. We absolutely cannot win.

Had an aneurysm rupture a few weeks ago (in the THROAT, I didn’t know that was a thing! Choking on blood, -90/10 cannot recommend). While my aunt visited me in the ICU she apparently asked my nurse to check out a mole of hers - one I had already looked at (apparently my opinion as an RN only went so far) and told her to have a doctor look at. Nurse told her to have a doctor look at it. When they extubated me and woke me up 5 days later she asked me to look at it again. 😂😂😂

i hate when i was a caregiver nd the residents would be asking me for help and then try and get me to do stuff they know i cant or especially expect meds when i was JUST a caregiver😭i cant even give a tums man

Tell him straight up if he wants treatment for his foot he has to register at the front and pay the er visit copay, that any work up or information past that point is assumed consent for him to be registered and assumed that he will be paying for the visit at time of service. Then put his butt in the lobby and say he’s got to wait like everyone else

Had a new chemo patient last week and her husband kept shoving his stitched up hand in my face and asking me when they would dissolve. Sorry sir, you should ask whoever put them in because I give chemo and know nothing about your hand trauma 😏
