I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts on something, Mose. Your near-death experience and the message that "you should have listened to a certain spiritual leader" convicted many of us, because it seemed to validate that movement as God’s path. But now that you have chosen instead to simply follow Christ and Scripture, how do you understand that experience today? And more broadly, how do we discern whether a dream, vision, or spiritual experience is truly from God in order to avoid the children of God drawing conclusions that later appear questionable? I’m asking sincerely, I mean, I have questions of my own as a Christian even as I’m making an effort to fellowship more deeply in God’s Word and seeking Him personally so I can use it as my compass in my Christian walk. Quoting verses like Hosea 4:6 (NIV):“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge...”, and Matthew 11:6 (NIV):“Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”, I’m trying to understand what truth really is drawing from the Bible. Maybe you can shed some light on this first....
