what happens if an employee got charged for absenteeism and because he/she feels they might be dismissed, now bring up other employees absenteeism that was never charged for it, now the company gave the him/her a warning but what was managed to the employer by someone who's charged now other employees are being dismissed if i make sense

They suspended me (on full pay 😁), the inquiry took 10 momths , then verdict was a written warning. I resigned with immediate effect, I was so used to not working for that company.

According to the SA Labour Law, when an employee appeals a warning how long does the employer have to respond. The company code of conduct does specify. but how long is a reasonable period before reaching out for an update?

This is out of topic, however I'd like to ask for a friend. If the company moves from one suburb to another and the employee had been wfh for more than 5 years during that transition and now they are requested to go back to the office (once in a while). What grounds can they state because there wasn't any compensation with regards to the move. The traveling is going to cost the employee 3 times the amount of time traveling not to mention the traveling costs.

Thank you for this education....please can u explain further, what u mean by, " the fact that it expires doesn't mean it loses its significance." I was of the opinion that once the written warning expires after 6 months it is cleared from your file.
