Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently visited China to hold bilateral talks with his diplomatic counterpart Wang Yi and according to the Chinese Foreign Minister Beijing is prepared to “strengthen strategic cooperation” with Moscow even further, so let’s take this opportunity to analyse what these two diplomatic heavyweights discussed during their talks. First up on the agenda is Zelensky’s so called “peace plan” which Lavrov described as “divorced from reality” and both Russia and China have agreed that any negotiations on the Ukraine conflict must take Russia’s security concerns into account. Furthermore, Lavrov took the opportunity to humble brag about how BRICS is helping Russia avoid sanctions with China emerging as Russia’s largest partner with trade surging to a record level of $240 Billion. And, my friends, whenever I speak about the flourishing China-Russia relationship and the growing trade levels I always get some comments pointing out that Russia is becoming a Chinese vassal and to those of you who really believe that I just want to show you this screenshot right here and ask you to sit down, relax and stop being delusional.   Most of your countries have China as their biggest trading partner compared to the US, now does that mean you’re vassals too? I guess so, but anyway look - every country has a choice to make, either you align yourself with a corrupt western rules-based world order of subjugation and unipolarity or you step into the future that Russia, China, BRICS and the global south are trying to build - a fair, multipolar world, based on international law, I know which camp I’m choosing but who would you align yourself with?
