Please look at the history of how they treat foreign investors... they won't let SIA make money, lol... after they start making profits, they will be clawed back using loopholes or "different interpretation" in the contract. SIA is too naive

If it is a good investment, India government won't allow foreign investor in the company. Common sense!

If you look into engineering opportunity such as MRO and commercial access.....the returns are not worth it.

Exactly what you mentioned 25.1% is odd because of their law. SIA already mentioned previously the Indian market but they did not mention the complex and unstable political front, especially the airspace restrictions by Pakistan. For clarity SIA only got into Air India because of merging of Vistara. Throwing more public money is useful if only measurable KPI can be met and accountability. Both of which SIA has no power to insist.

nobody notice the same pattern as a job scam....where scammer ask you to pay up 1st for potential job offer and in the end pay and pay until no money..then no money can get back?

LKY avoided Air India, because it was government controlled. Indian government has the huge negative called "Bureaucratic sloppiness". partnering indian bureaucracy wont bring efficiency. So Sir LKY was absolutely correct in avoiding it. In 2024, SIA did not directly venture into AI but it was TATA asked to take over AI and SIA tugged along through Vistara. Anyway now the troubled airline is in TATA-SIA groups, which are private enterprises, with almost nil bureaucracy overhang. TATA sons is 140 billion asset entity and SIA is 20 billion asset entity. TATA sons is 150 years old and SIA is about 50 years, they are not kids but veterans with exprtise to handle a crisis. Whether they can convert AI to profits and how long it will take and at what cost, is purely an expert decision making. TATA and SIA have that expertise. SIA veterans are in charge of operations of critical functions in AI. TATA has asked SIA to take AI operation control. So now they have a insider look of day to day operations and improving protocols. Let experts find out and time should be given to them to decide. Even if SIA quits AI, it cant be sitting comfortably with Changi, SIA has to keep on looking for overseas opportunities to expand. Market size matters along with efficiency.

It appears to be a lucrative market. They may think the shield can give them a little hope. Please bear in mind the regulatory requirements can be easily amended in India. Otherwise, a prolonged deadlock can cause decay.

Very simple. for any fund managers overseas he must look into the return of the ROI. Whether having a foot hole still must make money. You can loose for 1 or 2 financial but must see return of the investment. Big or small must still see returns on Investment

Going in itself is a poor decision therefore with the losses with Singaporean money is wrong. Worker party is right to bring this up and we have to investigate if self interest have get SIA into air India is there a corruption or self serving interest by any politican
