People return phones and wallets more than you think! I lost my phone in freaking *Times Square* and someone called my friend to return it. My homegirl lost her Dior wallet in LAX and someone returned it to lost and found and didn’t take anything.

I think the reason phones and wallets get returned more often is because everyone knows how much it sucks to lose those things and if you’re even somewhat decent, you’re gonna try to return it even the people that take the money and still give the wallet back as shitty as that is, even they know how much it sucks to get a new ID and shut off all your credit cards. Irreplaceable sentimental stuff…the list goes on.
